Intelligent Investing Level 2 Designed for more experienced investors or graduates of Level 1, the Level 2 course consists of six 2-1/2 hour seminars held weekly. The focus in this advanced course is on applying your knowledge in real-life situations and learning more sophisticated investment strategies. You will put your own know-how to the test by completing worksheets and exercises in an interactive workshop format. After completing Level 2, you will have a high level understanding of investing and be able to play an active role in selecting and managing your own investments. What you will learn Seminar 1 - Economic and Industry Analysis: Understand the economy and other factors that can impact the success of your investments. Seminar 2 - Company Analysis Workshop 1: Learn how to use financial ratios as you analyze a prominent Canadian retail firm. Seminar 3 - Company Analysis Workshop 2: How to compare similar companies, invest in small-cap stocks and use technical analysis to confirm your choices. Seminar 4 - Strategies for Fixed-income Investors: Learn how to get the most from your fixed-income securities by employing practical investment strategies. Seminar 5 - Mutual Funds and Alternative Products: Know how to evaluate mutual fund performance, build a portfolio of different fund types and use less expensive products in place of funds.
