Philip Hochrun has been an independent Day Trader since 1995. Mr. Hochrun began investing in the market in 1983 with a Charles Schwab asset money management account while working as a consultant to AlliedSignal developing power conversion equipment for aircraft. Recognizing a passion for trading, he embarked on an in-depth exploration of the markets and technical analysis and began implementation of his studies in 1989. He now invests and trades full time with a Charles Schwab signature platinum services account, an electronic day trading account utilizing the Watcher, a trading execution system and Rational Day Trading, a trading methodology he has developed and refined for his own use. At present, Mr. Hochrun teaches a course on market timing at New York University and guest lectures regularly at the University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business as well as at two other well-known trading institutions, Tradersedge.net and Financial Trading Inc.. His courses and lectures have been enthusiastically received for his clear presentation of relatively difficult subject matter.
