Oppenheimer Champion Income Fund - Class A seeks high current income; capital growth is a secondary consideration. The fund normally invests at least 60% of assets in fixed-income securities rated between BBB and D or unrated. It may invest up to 25% of assets in foreign securities. The average maturity typically ranges between seven and 15 years. Class A shares have front loads; B shares have deferred loads, higher 12b-1 fees, and conversion features; C shares have level loads. Prior to Oct. 19, 1990, the fund was named Champion High-Yield Fund USA. From that date until Oct. 2, 1995, it was named Oppenheimer Champion High-Yield Fund.
