Evergreen Fund - Class A seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in common stocks and convertible securities. Management favors companies that are limited to a regional market or that have only a small portion of their outstanding shares traded publicly, special-situation companies, and small companies. Class A shares have front loads; B shares have deferred loads; C shares have level loads; Y shares are available only to shareholders of record in any Evergreen fund prior to Dec. 30, 1994, and to institutional investors. FFB Lexicon Small Company Growth Fund - Investor Class and Evergreen Micro Cap Fund - Class A have merged into the fund.
